Renewable energy name Solaredge Technologies (SEDG) has conquered its August 2024 and July highs, and settled above its August closing high on Friday. This area coincides with the round $2 billion market cap. Meanwhile, the rising 20-day moving average is at a breakout level around $31-$32.50, reinforcing support.

IImplied volatility (IV) is lower than 94% of readings from the past year. Plus, amid multi-year highs and exponential growth, short sellers have been in covering mode, though short interest still makes up 21.7% of the stock’s available float. There is also room for upgrades, with all 28 covering brokerages sporting a “hold” or worse rating.

Our recommended October 32.50 call has a leverage ratio of 4.1, and will double on a 25.8% rise in the underlying security.
